Envisioning a Tech-Infused Retreat
Intel's first on-site presence at the Olympic Games was to be the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang South Korea. I led a team of architects and designers to turn a modest 3-story restaurant into a world-class Olympic hospitality house and tech showcase for Intel. Guests could relax by a warm fire, fly drones off the back porch, or play video games on next-gen servers.
TOTAL TRANSFORMATION
To pull this off required extensive modifications to the entire restaurant. Our design would involve removing all the furniture and creating faux walls, fireplaces, and gaming areas. Outside a massive interactive fire and ice wall greeted guests allowing them to literally play with fire via gesture control. The result was a warm, welcoming, exciting space that entertained all of Intel's most important guests during the duration of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
