GOOGLE HOUSE (unrealized)

Role: Pitch Team, Creative Direction, 3D Design


This project was a tour-de-force in collaboration. Our team won the Google House project for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Sadly, this never saw the light of day due to the pandemic. The early stages of this project saw some ingenious creativity and collaboration with De-Yan, Deeplocal and Google's own internal experience design team. Our vision was to create an Olympic playground to explore and physically engage with specific sports. Inside the warehouse was a Hat Factory - where you could design your own Olympic hat based on several factors including country, sport, sound, and color.

The Key Learning: This project demonstrated the need for strong project management. The project manager pushed the team and breathed strength into a project that got started very late in the game. (only several months out from the opening ceremony)
